Wisteria Cottage is a grade II listed building dating back from before the 16th century. With its real oak beams and church like windows, this cottage has a real oldie world effect.

Situated in the heart of picturesque village of Alton it provides an ideal base for touring the surrounding areas of the Staffordshire Moorlands and Derbyshire Dales.


We are only 1 mile away from the largest theme park in Britain, Alton Towers. The attractive tours of Uttoxeter and Ashbourne are only a few miles away, the latter being the "gateway" to Dovedale, which has many country walks, stately homes and gardens. The potteries town is only a few miles away where there are factories, shops and museums.

There are several pubs and restaurants within walking distance for you to enjoy an evening out during your stay
